Top Flight Philosophy

There are no secrets in soccer, so they say. It is definately no mystery as to why some individuals or organizations are more successful than others.  The focus is not so much on the "Now" or "Current Moment", but on the path that takes them there. If you focus on trying to be the best you can be, then you are already on your way towards excellence. The success you will experience is merely a by-product of this process. This is why we strive for Excellence in Everything. Success is only temporary, practicing excellence will last forever.

We use 9 Core Principles (T-O-P-F-L-I-G-H-T) to help our players achieve Excellence in their lives:

• T stands for TRAINING HARD Work hard at all your skills.  Committing only 85% will not do it. 
  

• O stands for OPPORTUNITY  When the chance presents itself,  take it.
  

• P stands for PLAYING THE GAME   PLAY all the time. Have fun. The game is the best teacher.
  

• F stands for FITNESS   Working on your core strength, agility, and endurance is a must.
  

• L stands for LOYALTY     Be trustworthy.
  

• I stands for IINTEGRITYHave the highest standard for your behavior.
  

• G stands for          GUTS Show courage when others do not.
  

• H stands for HUMILITY   Be humble at all times and keep your focus on the next play.
  

• T stands for TRUTH                Be truthful & realistic about everything everything.
  

Is it easy to do all these things? Of course not!  If it was, the rewards would not feel rewarding at all. However, over time these habits  become part of your life style and will elevate your level of play.

What does it all mean:

At the end of the day, each player should walk off the field tired, but happy about what he did. Having and attitude of self-improvement and remaining humble and respectfull towards everything and everyone is so crucial. The game, your teammates, the referees, your coaches, the opponent; all of them will help you get ready for life. It just depends on how you react and what lessons you take away while playing the game we all love. Needless to say, HAVING FUN and enjoying oneself in training and games is at the core of what we do at the Top Flight Soccer Academy.
