Oliver Weiss accepts position as
US Soccer Development Academy Director at Birmingham United
One more reason to get excited about Top Flight Soccer Academy is that its director and founder, Oliver Weiss, will be directing one of US Soccer's own Development Academies in Birmingham, Alabama. Top Flight Soccer Academy will enjoy increased awareness and curriculum instruction as Coach Weiss will bring more knowledge and ideas straight from US Soccer to his own Summer Academy at Sweet Briar College. What a treat for every camper attending this summer's 5 day camp experience. To read the entire press release, click here: http://www.birminghamunited.com/home/422626.html
For those unfamiliar to the concept of the US Soccer DA, it is the best youth development program in the country for young and aspiring players. The only program that enjoys a higher level of training and games is the Under 17 US National Team residency program in Bradenton, Florida. Since 2007, US Soccer has instituted 77 USDA programs around the country. The program is based on 2 premises: More training and better coaching as well as more quality games. Each Academy program brings together the best players in its area in the Under 18 and Under 16 Boys age groups and competes against other Academies in a 10 month, 35 game league schedule that crowns a National Academy Champion in July.
